When onsite you can browse the newspapers available on the platform while connected to Western Wifi. Coverage includes access to current content, and up to 60 days of back issues. Please note that this database may not offer the complete full text for every item it indexes.
While on campus, download and install the PressReader app (available from iTunes and Google Play), then download the content you wish to read offline.
When offsite you can access newspapers to view online through PressReader if your device is connected to Wifi
Offline/On the go (no Wifi connection):
On your mobile device, view the downloaded content through your PressReader app. You should have up to 90 days (some publications 60 days) to access this content offline.
Desktop and Laptop computers
When you are on campus PressReader can be accessed using a browser (e.g Internet Explorer , Mozilla Firefox. Chrome or Safari ). If you are using a laptop you will need to log in to the University Wifi (Western Wifi) using your Western Account login. Western logins are only available to current University students and staff.
If you are off campus access is also via the browser on your computer using your standard internet access. Please note the PressReader app cannot provide access via the library’s subscription on a computer.
Please note PressReader may not offer the complete full text for every item indexed.
