To search for e-books:

1.    Go to the Library website.

2.    Enter your search terms (e.g.title and/or author) into the Library Search Box. If you know the title you can include double quotation marks (e.g. "Handbook of social psychology").

3.    Click on the search button.

4.    From the search results page, click on the drop down menu alongside the search box and select 'Books, eBooks, Videos and more'.

If there are both e-books and print books in your results list, to display e-book results, choose Full Text Online under 'Refine my results' on the left hand side. Choosing Available in the Library will display print books only.

To open and view individual e-books click on the Available Online link. If you are not on campus you will be prompted to enter your Western Account details.

Please ensure that Pop-up Blockers are turned off when viewing e-resources on your computer. If you are unsure how to do this please see the FAQ: How do I configure my Browser for Off Campus Access?

When you finish with the e-book, remember to close off the book in your browser as this allows another user to access.
