You can submit your research paper to Turnitin and receive a Similarity Report which will indicate the extent of 'similarity' within your paper. You will be able to submit your paper as many times as you wish. These submissions will NOT be saved into the Turnitin database.
Turnitin is accessed from within the Research Training vUWS site. You will need to register to be eligible to access this site.
Eligible higher degree research students can register to access this site by sending your student details in an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org
To locate the Turnitin link:
- Login into vUWS with your WesternAccount details
- Locate Research Training vUWS site from the course listing
- Once you are in the Research Training vUWS site, click on the Turnitin link under Research Tools. The link is located in the 'Turnitin- Plagarism Checking Tool' folder
- To submit your paper to Turnitin, go to: Turnitin for Higher Degree Research Candidates >> View/Complete
Note: Only the first submission of the paper will generate an immediate Similarity Report. It can take 24 hours for a Similarity Report to be available for subsequent submissions.
All second year Master of Research students have access to a Thesis Submission Site in vUWS which contains a Turnitin link.
