How to search for an eligible journal
1. Go to the Open Access Agreements Negotiated by CAUL: Title List.
2. Select Western Sydney University as your institution.
3. Enter the journal title.
a) If your journal appears in the results, select the results card to view more details (see screenshot below). Then search for the publisher in the Agreements, which are listed down the left side of the Title List, to review the submission details.
b) If your journal does not appear in the results, try searching by keyword to allow for abbreviations or slight differences in titles. If the journal still does not appear, consider checking other publishing pathways, discounted APCs, or publishing in another journal.
Eligibility criteria
To publish in these journals and avoid APC charges, you must meet the following criteria:
How to submit your article
If you do identify a suitable journal under a Western Sydney University Read & Publish Agreement, please ensure you carefully review the publisher agreement before submission, including:
Contacts
We recommend contacting the publisher via email for questions about submitting to your journal under their Read & Publish Agreement. Include your full name, institution, article title, journal name and DOI (if available), and state the reason for your enquiry.
Note: Some journal websites may suggest that Western Sydney University has funding available for open access publishing. However, the Library does not have central funds to pay Article Processing Charges. Because publisher websites may not show the latest WSU arrangements, please check the current Title List first to confirm journal eligibility.
