Who is eligible for a profile in the Research Profile and Repository?
Research Profiles at Western Sydney University showcase the research activity and expertise of our staff. They provide a public-facing summary of a researcher’s publications, projects, and professional contributions.
Having a Research Profile will assist in increasing the visibility, support, and collaboration, as well as highlight the impact of Western Sydney research.
Profiles are linked to the University’s Research Repository, which stores and shares published research outputs. Not all staff will have a profile, and public visibility depends on meeting certain criteria.
Who automatically gets a profile?
Permanent and fixed-term researchers at Western Sydney University automatically receive a research profile.
Do casual, adjunct, or visiting researchers get a profile?
These staff members do not receive a profile. But their published research with a Western Sydney University affiliation will still appear in the Repository.
Do HDR candidates or students get a profile?
Students do not have individual profiles. But student publications and theses are included in the Repository.
Can professional staff have a profile?
Professional staff may request a research profile if they have a recent published research output. But profiles are subject to approval. If this does not meet certain criterias, we recommend creating a LinkedIn profile and linking it to their Staff Directory.
