The default name on a researcher profile in the portal will be the name used by the Human Resources system.
If you have a preferred first name in the Human Resources system, that will be the default in the researcher profile in the portal.
You can add a preferred last name directly in the Profile Editor and this will be displayed on the researcher profile, Research Profiles and Repository.
You can also add a name variant (default publishing name, former name, sort name or translated name) directly in the Profile Editor. This name will not be displayed on the researcher profile in the portal but can be used to search for the profile.
