ABS microdata is used by researchers and statisticians investigating a wide range of social or labour related topics. Microdata is used to undertake data manipulations requiring unit record data reflecting the diversity within a population. Typical applications include production of papers, journal articles, books, PhD theses, microsimulation, modeling, conducting detailed analyses or producing detailed tabulations in a disaggregated form.
