If you receive funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) or National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), you must comply with their respective open access policies.

The most recent version of these policies can be found on the ARC and NHMRC websites.

Both ARC and NHMRC open access policies require:

  • Publication details (metadata) is added to an institutional repository such as the Western Sydney University's Research Profiles and Repository within three months of publication.
  • The publication is open access within 12 months of publication. This can be either the published version of the publication or the author's accepted manuscript.
  • If you received international funding, check the funders' website and Sherpa Juliet for details of the funders' Open Access policy.

Make your thesis, research publications and output open by depositing your content in the Research Profiles and Repository.
