Datasets associated with completed research projects are described and retained by the Library’s repository for long-term access and archiving. These datasets are discoverable in the Research Data Australia portal and the  Research Profiles and Repository. This is the preferred option as it is a stable and access-controlled environment.

Additionally, the Library can provide a citation (and DOI if eligible) for your research dataset that is suitable for use in the data availability statement in your publications. This citation can be used to cite the dataset in future publications and to populate your ORCID record.

All WSU research dataset publications are harvested by the Research Data Australia portal.

For assistance with archiving and publishing your research dataset, access the ‘Support for research data management planning’ form for Staff and Students in WesternNow.
