You can use the Open Textbook Initiative guide to help search for suitable Open Textbooks.
Think about what kind of materials you are planning on creating.
You might consider using seminal works to supplement your curriculum and educational activities.
Other authors may have published materials very similar to what you are thinking of, and you may be able to adopt these materials.
You might also find materials you like but are not totally satisfied with them, so you will need to adapt the Open Textbook in some way.
Your School Librarian can help you search for Open Textbooks which might exist on your subject of interest.
