The author holds copyright for their thesis in most circumstances.

It is the author’s decision to redact material of a sensitive nature from their thesis. The Right of Access to HDR Thesis (RAHT) form only deals with third party copyright material, not sensitive content.

However, there are two options to address this via the RAHT:

  1. For the author - Embargo the thesis via the RAHT form by selecting Option B.
  2. For the author - When the thesis is made available to the library:

a) mark the sensitive information as REDACTED on a copy of the thesis, then select Option A in the RAHT form.
b) forward a copy of the thesis with REDACTED information to the Library, along with a copy of the RAHT form with Option A selected.
