In order to view and download Australian Standards, you will need to create a personal account.
PDF files downloaded from Standards Australia (SAI Global) can only be opened in a PDF viewer that supports FileOpen. If you try to open this file in any other application, such as a web browser, you will receive an error.
It is best to access Standards Australia using a computer or laptop as it is not optimised for use on mobile devices such as phones and tablets.
To view downloaded standards:
- Ensure that your PDF reader is up to date. You can download Acrobat by visiting the Adobe website. Alternative PDF readers are also available from the FileOpen website.
- Install the FileOpen plugin
Open the downloaded file
- Locate the downloaded file.
- Right click on the file and choose to open with the PDF reader you have installed.
Please note that if you download the same file to different computer, the PDF is locked to the first computer on which it was opened.
