Q. Should I deposit a print or electronic copy of my thesis with the Library?

The Library only requires the finalised PDF (electronic copy) of your thesis and a completed Right of Access form.

The Right of Access allows you to specify the access conditions for your thesis in the Research Profiles and Repository.

The electronic copy must be deposited to the Western Sydney University Institutional Repository, the Research Profiles and Repository, on the successful completion of your degree.

• Your thesis must meet the Research Code of Practice (in particular, Part D – Publication).
• Refer to the Higher Degree Research Examination Handbook for guidance on thesis formatting.
• If your thesis contains published articles, the author-accepted versions of the articles should be included in the electronic copy.
• For information about author-accepted manuscripts, refer to the Copyright Advice page.

If your thesis contains other copyright material, you should seek advice from the University’s Copyright Officer using the Copyright Advice forms for staff or students.
