A Publons profile is the public facing element of your Publons account where other members of the community can see the publications, verified peer reviews, verified editorial board memberships, and editor records that make up your verified record of contributions to research.
You can add a biography and research fields to the profile.
You can sign up for a new Publons account here. You won’t need a new account if you already have a personal login for other Clarivate Analytics products such as Web of Science or EndNote online. You will be able to use your existing details to login to Publons.
How does a Publons profile relate to the Web of Science Researcher ID?
It is possible to have a Publons account without having a Web of Science Researcher ID. The profile will not have a Researcher ID displayed at the top right of the page.
The Researcher ID will only be created when you register on Publons and import your publications from the Web of Science.
You can also add publications using other methods such as ORCID or DOI search.
Each night, Publons assigns a Web of Science ResearcherID to any profiles with one or more Web of Science-indexed publications that do not yet have a ResearcherID.
Any publications you add to your Publons profile will then be linked to your Web of Science ResearcherID when anyone searches for you on Web of Science. Please allow up to two weeks for changes you make on Publons to be reflected on Web of Science.
