The AR-DRG Classification Codes from IHPA are widely used by health researchers. The National Centre for Classification in Health (The University of Sydney) leads the Australian Consortium for Classification Development (ACCD), in collaboration with Western Sydney University, in the continuing development of the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS.

If you are a researcher seeking to obtain the AR-DRG Classification System products for research or academic purpose, you are eligible to receive the Electronic Code Lists free of charge. However, you will need to contact IHPA regarding the purpose of your research and sign a Deed of Confidentiality. You must still purchase the books at their nominal price.
