Ovid databases allows an export of up to 3500 records at a time.

To export:

  1. Tick All at the top of the search results.
Note: If the total number of results exceeds the permitted limit, you won't be able to select all results.
The message The number of results you have selected is exceeding your institution limits will appear.
Ignore this message and manually enter the range of results alongside the Range checkbox. (E.g. 1-3500).
  2. Click Export. A Processing status may appear for a few seconds.
  3. In the Export Citation(s) window, click on Export.
  4. Once the export is complete, a CGI file of the exported records will download to your computer and a Citation(s) Exported message will appear.
  5. To initiate the import of records into EndNote, locate and open the downloaded CGI file. If you're prompted to Choose An Import Filter, select PubMed (NLM) and click Choose.
  6. If the total number of records exceeds 3500, repeat steps 1-5 by typing in the range for the next 3500 records (e.g. 3501-7000). Repeat this process for each range until all the records from your search have been exported.
