Cite the video where you viewed it, that is, in class as a DVD or via the internet as an online video.

When you are citing the source in your reference list the description of the format (DVD or online video) is placed after the title. Other descriptors that could be used for recorded content are television program (if viewed on TV), audio recording or podcast.

Online content that is viewed via the free web will require a viewed date and a URL.

Other information can be added after the publisher details e.g. Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Distributed by Roadshow Entertainment.

To find information for your citation such as author, title and publisher, check if it is held in the Library collection by entering the title into the Library Search Box. Select the title from the search results page then click on 'MORE INFO' from the left hand side. Content that is viewed online may have a homepage that contains this information.
