Turnitin for iPad Update - October 2016
We advise that a small number of instructors using the Turnitin for iPad app to grade a Turnitin assignment have recently experienced an issue whereby grades and/or feedback are not successfully syncing.
If you choose to use the Turnitin app for marking, you are advised to constantly 'sync' the app after a small group of students, or each time an individual student is marked.
However as this is time consuming and does not guarantee successful synchronisation, the current advice is that Instructors should grade submissions from a desktop computer or laptop, rather than using the iPad app.
Yes. Staff accessing units with over 300 students do not download all student papers, Only those they wish to mark.
The Turnitin iPad App will provide access to Originality Reports, QuickMark comments, voice comments, custom text comments, and highlights—everything you need to provide effective feedback on student writing.
It will also allow you to mark papers offline and not be dependent on an internet connection.
Note: If you are accessing a class that contains more than 300 students - Tap on the first student paper you are to mark in the class list (list displays alphabetically) – When the app asks if you wish to ‘Sync Submissions’ tap ‘Not Now’
Then tap on the cloud icon of only the students papers you wish to mark.
As each paper is selected it will begin to download to the IPad
Once downloaded the selected papers will display the blue Grademark pencil icon.
