These can be found via e-resources in a database called ChemWatch GoldFFX

If you are off campus, you will be prompted to sign in with your WesternAccount. Please note that access is not available via mobile devices.

To search by the name of a chemical:

1. Click Gold (M) SDS from the (M) SDS AND LABELS pane to initiate a search

2. From the Simple tab, enter the chemical name (E.g. Acetone) into the search box underneath Name/ CAS. Select Full (to search the Chemwatch Global Database) then click on the SEARCH button.

3. Click on the chemical name (E.g. Acetone) under MATERIAL NAME from the chemical list generated from the search, to display the latest version of a vendor Material Safety Data Sheet by a specific supplier.

For more information on how to search for Material Safety Data Sheets, see the Help option at the top of the page in ChemWatch.
